Description

Regshot is an open-source (LGPL) registry and filesystem compare utility that allows you to quickly take a snapshot of your registry/filesystem and then compare it with a second one - done after doing system changes or installing a new software product.

Installation

  1. Get the tool at: http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/regshot/regshot/1.8.3/v5_regshot_1.8.3_beta1_win32_x64_src_bin_v5.zip
  2. Uncompress

Usage

The GUI looks like this:

  1. Take a first snapshot before you start the executable you'd like to monitor
  2. Then take a second snapshot,
  3. and click "Compare"
